Singer/songwriter Maki Nagayama was born in Tokyo,Japan.

In 2005,Japanese pop band "Modern conya" had just released their
3rd album entitled "Itoshii rhythm (deary rhythm)".
I thought it looks like they pushed back the boundaries of their music
and songwriting, and also became acknowledged successful artist.　　

Not only As a lead singer of 11 pieces spiritoso band, but as a
songwriter who has own distinctive style which represent
deep and quiet world of Japanese culture,
Maki has also began to pursue the career as a solo artist.

In 2006, Maki has turned off a long awaited debut album
entitled "Gin no kouma(The silver colt)".

Maki has uniquely represented view of the world,
and writing lyrics to bring them to her music fabulously.

After releasing the album, her work has been stretching from
writing columns for fashion magazines to singing for TV commercials.

In 2008, Modern conya has restructured to 8 performers and
released more evolved　4th album entitled "Tenki no sonzai suru riyu
(A reason why the weather exist)".

Maki has two widely differing personae　and you must listen to both for understanding who the Maki Nagayama really is.
